mats require daily cleaning and stores would rather not pause mobiles or staff adequately for that cleaning to happen. i have a callous so built up it caused me an ulcer from working at my store which doesn’t provide mats. knocked me out of work for a week. doctor told me he was pretty sure osha requires them. i just shrugged.

I haven't figured out how to navigate the OSHA website yet and find what I need but I saw someone say OSHA requires mats for anywhere you'll be standing for prolonged period of time? I'm not sure though. Mats are a Starbucks requirement though (safety and security manual. They even bolded it)

I've said it a thousand times on this forum, safety and security manual states explicitly we HAVE to have them in our stores. The only exception is if you already have the ecogrip flooring (grey slightly squishy floor). It's a major violation to not have them.

Some stores have slip resistant floors. Ours are tile so we have them. If you have floors that are a hazard I’d say they’re necessary. We do our floors daily but don’t deep the mats daily, more like weekly if that.

Someone stacked the mats up for a week and then, maggots. I had the privilege of hauling the maggot mats to the dumpster. I hate it here.

Yea, file a complaint with osha. They take shit seriously. I filed a complaint with them for a different job and shit got taken care of.

I recommend these $1

When I first started working at Starbies, my pain was at a level 7-8 every shift, and lasted for days afterwards.

After just ONE DAY using these insoles, my pain went down to a 1 even right after a shift, and that was with regular DR Scholls work-shoes.

I never thought something so small could make such a huge difference.

Can’t.

Recommend.

Them.

Enough!

Get docs working boots and dr. Scols inserts, first week is going to be the worst pain in a while (I cried it was that bad) but trust me the back pain you get from those nasty Matt’s are worth it. The problem with them is everything sticks to them and their is no easy way to clean them. It’s like if your store skips doing drains for 3 weeks on the mats honestly aweful
