Instead of vanilla syrup and caramel drizzle, I do hazelnut syrup and mocha drizzle. With oat milk and blonde shots it’s just 👌🏻perfect

I'm gonna sound so corporate, and maybe conceited, but custy connects and partner development are my favorite part of the job!
I grew in a cafe-only store, so the company probably hates me for essentially ignoring DT (at my current store, as a closer) and only making cafe/mobile my strong suit. But that's where I thrive. I don't want to give up on "the 3rd place" even if it means I'm getting hounded abt DT times. Those ppl don't get to know us. DT/mobiles are the opposite of what made this company so special!
Training people and finding potential is the best part. We're "partners" in the end so we should always focus on eachother first, imo. I coach customers almost as much as my partners lol

Deep cleaning anything. When I have the luxury to make pretty Frappuccinos (like a nicely layered Caramel Ribbon Crunch is so satisfying but who has time and it's not fun when you're making dozens.) Any time we get a shiny and new tea shaker or markout pitcher. Carmel drizzle when it's soft and squeezes out of the bottle so easily.

We have a regular that's really particular about her extra dry nonfat capp--she corrected me the first time I made it for her when I was new, then said it was perfect and it was the first time a customer ever told me that! She gets so happy when we give it to her and it's super light. Absolutely worth the extra trouble, I always steam two pitchers of milk for her.

sometimes those extra picky customers end up being some of your favorites because it's so gratifying making difficult drinks well, not to mention the truly good customers with tough orders actually realize how difficult their drink is to make & show genuine appreciation!

Making upside down iced caramel macchiatos. Unless the customer specifically asks for it mixed I make it layered. I put the shots+syrup, ice, and then carefully pour the milk so it doesn't mix. Then the caramel drizzle. It's still layered, just upsidedown. My favorite part is the confused look on customers faces.

Whenever I make an especially beautiful drink. Even if it’s hot and gets covered with the lid I try to make it pretty. I once made a perfect cute little heart with mocha drizzle on my mom’s hot chocolate. I love it when it looks as good as it tastes.
