Omg. Constant customers in cafe and drive thru, multiple 10+ mobile orders... I did DTR/DTO/warming the whole time. My throat hurts and I have a headache. How was your day?

It was terrible. We are no longer allowed to turn off mobile orders- had a dTo line wrapped around the building into the street and a line in the cafe put the door several times.
Top it off with longer wait times had a few people get really salty with me. It doesnt help that people who order mobiles 30 min ago and just show up are getting their drinks ahead of people who have been in the cafe waiting. Or people who just order a drip coffee or something quick.
To make matters worse this is the first time Ive felt completely unsupported by management. They just are not doing enough to help partners DEAL WITH THE SURGE but also TO ensure customers are getting served well. Its all about the $$$ and meanwhile they are stingy with hours and I cant even afford groceries let alone buying presents for anyone for the holidays other than the 1lb bags of markout coffee I get every week. (My pre-teen will be thrilled to have coffee beans in their stocking! -NOT!)
Oh and while we are at it, if you are making a mobile order be considerate and dont order 10 highly customized drinks on the app while waiting in the drive thru line. By all means order mobile but give us some extra time to make it and park the car and walk into the store to pick them up. We get judged on our drive-thru times and these orders set us back considerably.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who wanted to quit today. Yet I know what its like when peoplenare unreliable so I show up even though it is killing me a little more everyday.
Really not looking forward to tomorrow. AT ALL.

I forgot to mention mobile orders! We had at least five 10+ drink orders. Then someone came in the lobby and ordered 14 drinks. The barista helping them told them it’d be at least 20 minutes and they replied “Well I’m on my lunch break, can’t you make them faster?”
I am so sorry you had to deal with entitled customers and that you didn’t feel supported by management. Strong leadership makes all the difference.
Unfortunately many partners are struggling with a lack of hours. Something that helped me out was cashing out my stocks. This is the best time to sell as shares are around $100 each now. If you’ve been with the company for at least a year, maybe that’s something that can help you as well?

How about they just schedule us appropriately and give us hours. They have an hours budget but corporate needs to realize that they need to schedule for busy shifts appropriately (doesnt help to have multiple callouts either) shouldnt have to cash out retirement to get by in the present.
And getting back to entitlement - customers that are on breaks or headed into work/ late for an appointment just irk me. Their time managment issues are not my problem. There was a point where I just started informing customers that we had a longer wait time than usual to set the expectation in the cafe. IDGAF what management thinks of this - if they are going leave us hanging like this then it's not fair to the loyal customers either. This is supposed to be a place of connection.

Oh I totally agree they should schedule us appropriately. The stocks aren’t part of the retirement plan or 401k, they’re gifted to us :) And I 100% agree with your second paragraph.

I don’t understand why people would even pulled up at the drive thru still even when they saw that there was a whole line wrapped around the store while knowing that they are a bunch of impatient caffein addict

I hate when we said “please give me a moment I’ll be right with you” when was super super busy and management told us off that we shouldn’t be telling people to wait or repeat their drinks or inform them in advance about the waiting time. Management be like “just say that we will it ready don’t ask them to wait”
