i don't even know why they have a side that is completely open. i've done this multiple times and haven't realized before its too late lmao

Just put some sticker on it to close the open side

i have a silver sharpie almost exclusively for marking the correct side of the shaker because ive had so many moments like this.

I used to do this and now ever year I put stick tape on the side I don’t want to use.

just break off the lid on the small side and it makes it so much easier you don’t have to even open it everytime anymore. i do this to all the toppings with plastic tops

I try to cut the other side and leave the lid slide with the paper

This happens to me on a DAILY basis. We just started taping the other side down, no one uses it
