Make sure you’re not eating anything 30 min or even an hour before you go to bed. Full undigested stomach + sleep + anxiety = vomit central. there’s not much you can do if you’re throwing up before you go to work, it’s good you were calling them. For me just putting on music and zoning out doing a task i like really helps calm me down. Coloring, drawing, switch games, mobile phone games (i recommend a calm one like I Love Hue Too) , just anything to help distract from the current moment which is anxiety. Feelings can be so fleeting if you let them. Also a hot bath(or shower) helps a lot too. (If you’re about to breakdown though try switching to cold! the temperature change causes a switch in your brain!) Putting ice cube on your wrist, grounding techniques like pointing out every first object you see in rainbow color order , or even just calling up a friend and letting stuff off my chest.
