I hate partners that come in and are purposely extra complicated...you know better (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by CLEf11
We have a partner (one who has worked at Starbucks for awhile their numbers are 22...) not only do they come through the drive thru and order several drinks in the most complicated way possible they add at the window and they have to load their app every single time while also wanting to use their numbers so we have to do 2 different transactions and they only ever add like 5-10 at a time and do this every time instead of pre loading or doing 1 big reload of 50-100 every once in awhile.

We had a someone acting like this and found out they were using their sister’s numbers. I’d be asking for their ID every single time. If they asked why I’d say because you don’t act like a partner. At the very least low key call that stuff out.

you don't have to split transactions to use partner numbers. they do not get a food or beverage markout at any store except their own, so they will only be getting discounts. the discount will apply to the entire order, so there is no need to do more than one transaction.

but as the other commenter said, ID that person. they don't sound like a partner.

They still get their discount and it won't let you use a partner discount while simultaneously loading an app
ingirlwetrust 5 points 7m ago
yeah it will, they just have to load the numbers into their app, idk how but ive seen plenty of partners have that feature when paying

It still says "unable to use discount after tender" so you load x amount onto the app, pay that x amount on your credit card and then try to put in your partner numbers to pay for your drinks and it doesn't let you

You enter the discount first, before tendering any payment. The "partner discount" option, not beverage or food or markout. It'll then take 30% off of everything, and then you can do the payments.

If the first one is done and then she tells you she has her numbers, you can void a payment after it's been taken iirc. You click on where it shows how much was paid, and can cancel it. Or, you can go back to the order screen, it'll force you to void all payments, and then from there you can enter the numbers and start over.

Point is, it doesn't have to be multiple transactions.

I also hate it when partners go to a store that’s not their own and order something so complicated and then they tell you that you’re ringing it up wrong etc. Like maybe just keep your bs concoction at your own store and try to be friendly to us at the other stores.

kinda sounds like they’re using someone they know’s partner number, def ID them. if they were a partner they wouldn’t be making ur life hell at least not without apologizing profusely the whole time and every time. Has to conveniently load their card every time to get discounts or use the number ? While they’re probably just pulling up the screenshot of the text of the partner number ? It’s suspicious for sure

Partners are my least favorite customers. I don’t know what’s up with them.

Partner asked for BSOSE with ristretto shots. Complained that the espresso was “too dark” and said that she knew we used cold brew… uhhhhhh

Or partners who have been there for a while and act like they know everything and you know nothing

We had a partner who came through our drive thru and always reloaded at the window, and was just in general rude and obnoxious. My sm at the time ended up calling his manager about him and his behavior (VERY rude and mean) 😂 She was the best.
