Fill to the max line and aerate for like 3 seconds, properly, if you do it and it makes big bubbles most likely it’ll over flow. Two of these generally makes a little more than three grandes of milk if they’re getting whipped cream.

For refrehers, I would usually use the lid of the pitcher to hold all the ice and fruit until the end, kinda like when bartenders strain their drinks. I would also prepare all of the cups with a little bit extra fruit and ice. After pouring out the liquid to the top line of the cup, Add the icey fruit mix to the tops of all of them. Everything else shaken iced the same concept except no fruit to worry about.

My trick for this is don't rinse the milk pitcher until you've poured the shot over the milk (assuming you have more milk steamed than you think you need). Then you can just add a little more milk if needed. Messes up the layering of the drink a bit but idk, I'd rather have more drink than less if it were me

I'm gonna respectfully disagree.
I find it much more convenient to boil water, add real honey, and lemon juice (I don't need the tea as that's mood dependant). Then I just refill as necessary. Especially when comparing to getting up, putting on a bra and pants and dealing with traffic for something loaded with sugar that costs money when I'm a biohazard.

barring during peak during the holidays? im straight chillin. running around like mad & stressing myself & my baristas out doesn't actually accomplish anything when we're fifteen minutes behind on mobiles and there's still an hour and a half left of peak. the drinks will get out when they get out and there is nothing I can do to make shots queue or milk steam faster without sacrificing beverage quality. i just chat with customers and vibe. customers might get a little bitchy but my floor is usually significantly more relaxed bc I refuse to put myself or my coworkers thru the speedy meat grinder.

When using the newer convection ovens with the pictures, I’ll push the first button on each category for pastries, sandwiches, egg bites etc. The only exception is usually the wraps to make sure they don’t burn.

Sometimes when I'm feeling extra lazy and my frappes are too watery I'll just put the drizzle and topping on the inside of the dome lid and then I just stick it on over the whip

*DT tourist location ,with a bunch of legendary regulars as well,grossing $65000 weekly for reference.* Back when I was a green bean, I filled two entire hoppers ( pre new mastrenas ) TWICE in a week with , you got it, an *entire* two bags of decaf. One for this hopper one for that hopper. Yay I’m a good CS. No one noticed. I didn’t notice. No one stopped me. Too busy. I was a silent assassin. People began to come in complaining of headaches. They would order an extra shot because maybe they hit their threshold. Cycle continues. Hoppers are empty. I go to replace with new beans, I read the bags this time because “how come the beans looked different those two last times ?” I realize my grave mistake. Now instead of headaches peoples hands were shaky after drinking their drinks. Too much caffeine ? Ive since left, but for three years I’ve held that secret to myself. I’m not sure how many up charges were spent on an extra shot. I’m sorry to some. Others.. you might’ve deserved it. Either way what a load off to tell you all.

If someone orders 2 fraps with the same base drink, but 1 has a customization, I batch them then alter it. For example; 1 venti Carmel crunch and 1 venti Carmel crunch with toffee nut. I'll batch the 2 together, pour out the regular, add toffee nut, and then reblend 🙈

I’ve used dark caramel for a caramel macchiato bc we ran out of regular. I’ve also made an Americano when asked for drip coffee - this only happens when I’m on solo morning shifts and don’t have time to brew fresh coffee in the middle of a rush. They never know the difference it seems 🤡

Batch blending, shaking, and steaming. Preparing as many drinks at a time as possible, fuck the routine, I can make 6 lattes in the speed of 1 or 2 if I followed standard routine sequencing.
