If we’re busy, I steam extra milk and just go a little heavy on the whip. Two grandes at once.

if i’m on bar, i stop giving a flying frikity frak about drive times during peak. ESPECIALLY with all the holiday drinks because i’d rather give the custy a yummy drink that has actually been made to the highest standard then a 10 sec latte (exaggeration but still)

like i can totally make drinks super fast, but i simply choose not to, and i just go “haha yea 😃” when they’re saying drive times are too high (56 seconds)

barring during peak during the holidays? im straight chillin. running around like mad & stressing myself & my baristas out doesn't actually accomplish anything when we're fifteen minutes behind on mobiles and there's still an hour and a half left of peak. the drinks will get out when they get out and there is nothing I can do to make shots queue or milk steam faster without sacrificing beverage quality. i just chat with customers and vibe. customers might get a little bitchy but my floor is usually significantly more relaxed bc I refuse to put myself or my coworkers thru the speedy meat grinder.

A certain customer would come in and ask for light lemonade, light peach juice and light ice so I would pour both at the same time and she never would notice the difference. Instead she insisted I needed to make her drinks all the time because mine was the best ones. 🥴

I have not been putting the toppings on for the holiday drinks lol but nobody rlly notices. I’ll make sure to put them on tho if someone puts “extra” of the sprinkles for that drink.

I brutalize the holiday toppings. If I can’t get it open with my fingers on the first try I typically just pop the cap on the edge of the counter like you would a beer bottle. Looks like I’m angry but I swear I’m just trying to be expedient.

I rarely ever marked out food on my break. So that way I could save my markouts to take food home. There were quite a few times I brought home “expired” marshmallow bars. I “accidentally” broke lemon cakes whenever I got too hungry and needed a snack. I always gave friends free drinks. At the end of the night I’d take home a trenta cup of nothing but strawb base to make refreshers at home. I don’t work there anymore otherwise I wouldn’t be confessing this LOL

When using the newer convection ovens with the pictures, I’ll push the first button on each category for pastries, sandwiches, egg bites etc. The only exception is usually the wraps to make sure they don’t burn.

Sometimes when I'm feeling extra lazy and my frappes are too watery I'll just put the drizzle and topping on the inside of the dome lid and then I just stick it on over the whip

One for this hopper one for that hopper. Yay I’m a good CS.
No one noticed. I didn’t notice. No one stopped me. Too busy. I was a silent assassin. People began to come in complaining of headaches. They would order an extra shot because maybe they hit their threshold. Cycle continues. Hoppers are empty. I go to replace with new beans, I read the bags this time because “how come the beans looked different those two last times ?” I realize my grave mistake. Now instead of headaches peoples hands were shaky after drinking their drinks. Too much caffeine ? Ive since left, but for three years I’ve held that secret to myself. I’m not sure how many up charges were spent on an extra shot. I’m sorry to some. Others.. you might’ve deserved it. Either way what a load off to tell you all.

If someone orders 2 fraps with the same base drink, but 1 has a customization, I batch them then alter it. For example; 1 venti Carmel crunch and 1 venti Carmel crunch with toffee nut. I'll batch the 2 together, pour out the regular, add toffee nut, and then reblend 🙈

Someone ordered 3 white peppermint chocolate mochas the other day but I only realized after the 1st one made that they actually ordered JUST peppermint white hot chocolates. so one of them had a lil kick to it but that’s okay

I’ve used dark caramel for a caramel macchiato bc we ran out of regular. I’ve also made an Americano when asked for drip coffee - this only happens when I’m on solo morning shifts and don’t have time to brew fresh coffee in the middle of a rush. They never know the difference it seems 🤡

this is really really bad, but when i forget, i gaslight the customers thinking i used almond milk or oat for the holiday drinks that come along with it when i forgot and used 2%
