Refillable Tumblers (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by mymelodywithaglock
Any other licensed stores (kroger, target, safeway etc) been having problems with people stealing the refillable tumblers? Like the siren eye said to have these cups in those baskets by the register. We close at 7:30pm so anyone can just take them after that time.

I get they’re $65 a pop, but ?????? do you really need it? also are we gonna be asking people for their receipts ? I’m gonna have to if I see anyone with one. Because we had 12 of them out and only 3 left. However WE DIDNT SELL A SINGLE ONE OF THEM !!!!

When will corporate learn no ones gonna pay almost $70 for an ugly ass dog shit green cup only good for one month. I think the only way they were going to be gone was IF people stole them.

but holy shit i cannot believe almost all of them were stolen.

Yeah, it's something I'm hearing at stores near me too. And it's not even a decent value. You don't break even if you go 20 days in the month, reasonable frequency if you go on your morning commute. The purpose of the mug is to clearly build habit in someone that doesn't normally get Starbucks but the value isn't good enough to purchase for a friend/family. I'd rather just load the money onto a card and not have someone who already has a travel mug they like have to carry around an ugly one instead.

yeah, all of it was not a smart move by starbucks. If you’re gonna make it expensive, make it worth it. If you’re not gonna make it worth it, make it cheaper 😭😭 Like if they made it thru Dec 26-Jan 30? Maybe ? But no one wants to buy it lmao . But now imma have shifty eyes whenever someone brings it in during January 😆
