Am I able to go on a two week trip if I haven’t worked here a year yet? (self.starbucksbaristas)

In around late May of 2023 I am going on a trip for my brothers graduation and to visit colleges. I have not worked a year yet so I am pretty sure I won’t have vacation time. Is there anyway without quitting to do this?

You can absolutely take time off, but you won’t start earning vacation hours until after your 1 year anniversary.
A time-off request six months in advance, your manager will have absolutely no excuse to deny it. Best to put in the time off request ASAP, lest you forget.

Talk to your SM as soon as possible! I took 3 weeks off and she approved it but I requested the time off ~5 months in advance, I didn’t need a LOA but not working will affect your benefit hours if you need them!

Yeah the thing is money is on the tighter side so we don’t have a full plan for when we are exactly going yet

You can take a LOA, but keep in mind it’s a request and can be denied. If it does, my rec would be to prioritize your future and put in your 2wks.
