Pour shots into the side of the cup so they don't bubble up at the bottom. Then, if your milk is good, it'll be perfectly velvety. Usually the shot bubbles are the ones that mess up the look

You can make any drink smooth if you roll the components down the side of the cup (syrup, shots) You don’t have to hold the cup there but line up the shot glass so that it runs down the side and then run it down the side when you pour it in the actual cup. You can pour chai down the side so that it doesn’t bubble like crazy too. If you got your milk steaming routine down so that it looks like wet pant, then yay! You can now make everything velvety and smooth and practice things like latte art

While making sure the shots and syrup are on the sides of the cup, obviously make sure to tap out any milk bubbles and I like to start with the milk pitcher close to the cup then pull away a good amount and move back in for my dot. Usually comes out really clean l just takes some practice.
