the mastrena II is such a nice machine! i had started at my store on the mastrena I and once we got the new machines during covid lockdown it's been so nice. no mid day cleaning cycle needed and blonde espresso on both sides 😌

Dude, it says no midday cleaning needed for this mastrena yet at my store, we're so high volume the repair guys say we need 4 cleanings! *minimum* 😣

I feel that! Our repair tech said we should be doing 3 a day because we pull massive quantities of espresso each day.

I can't imagine what type of high volume needs 4 cleanings 💀 luckily the cleaning cycle is 30mins at most so it's possible to run 4.

There was some very specific guidance provided a while ago by corporate explicitly stating only one cleaning per day is recommended/required.

Congrats! If I can offer any word of advice it’s to not ignore the “empty grinds drawer” message. If you pull the drawer and put it back without emptying it it won’t register that it’s still full of grinds. Leads to a nasty backup into the water flow tube 🤢

and make sure you guys REALLY clean the steaming wand. ours broke constantly because it wasn’t cleaned properly. we eventually became well acquainted with the guy that came to repair the machines.

We were well acquainted with the guy that came to fix the old ones. They would break down once every week at least. If it wasn't one bar it was the other
