Medical Leave of Absence (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Over-Commercial-6745
So last week I was on approved time off for vacation for a week and the day I get back I’m diagnosed with the flu so Ive been talking to my manager about not going in cause ya know, the flu. I was supposed to go back to work today but I went to my primary doctor this afternoon and he didn’t clear me to go back to work, cause I’m still not well. So I called my SM and she said since Ive missed so many consecutive days, I have to go on a medical leave of absence. Ive missed two weeks of work due to vacation and being sick and I’m so scared I’m gonna get fired. I really need this job. Can i get fired for this? Any help is appreciated🙇

When you miss three consecutive shifts due to illness they require a LOA to protect your job. It doesn’t mean you’re going to get fired, just a bit of a pain in the butt to go through!
