As I’m typing this, I’m starting to grow sicker. I’ve coughed up blood at this point and I feel gross and sick. I work 2:30 to closing tomorrow but I don’t know if I should work. Do I text my head manager or wake up very early and call in? This came out of nowhere and I’ve never been this sick
Edit: Texted AND called out. Ended up taking the day off to care for myself and stuff. Feeling slightly better but still gross

I’d recommend actually going to the doctor if you’re coughing up blood- but call the store when they open and then just go right back to sleep otherwise!

Definitely call the store to call in sick and as early as you can. Your health comes first, are you able to go to the hospital? Or a free clinic if you have one nearby?

call out now. you have to be good for 24 hours before you can work again so its valid to call out now if you’re sick within 24 hours of your next shift.
