I only meant that when you pour the drink into the steam cup to mix it, anything already in the cup comes in contact with the inside of the pitcher (the espresso, syrups, etc), but if you're just steaming the milk in the pitcher and pouring it in you don't get the same contact of other ingredients in the pitcher. I definitely also do a thorough rinse! But I've also ordered a few drinks at my store that still had traces of chestnut in the blender that set off my allergic reaction, so I don't really trust the water jet to get everything off, yanno?

I don't have an almond allergy so I haven't had this issue o: Just hazelnuts and chestnuts for me.
