So I started in July and wasn't benefits eligible until the first of this month. But I didn't realize I still had to sign up during open enrollment even though I wasn't benefits eligible. (Also no one even told me when open enrollment was.)
So I'm going to try to call (the number I found was 877 SBUXBEN ) and see if I can sign up outside of the open enrollment period.
Any idea how good my chances are?
ETA: okay I think I figured it out! It says there's an eligibility audit every 6 months (January and July) so I'm assuming if I'm eligible when January rolls around, which I should be, I'll be able to enroll then.

The August open enrollment period is only for partners who were already eligible for benefits and needed to renew. If you only just became eligible, that doesn’t apply to you. Did you recently get an email or postal mail inviting you to enroll? Your deadline is whatever was in that letter. If you log into mysbuxben.com, you should find instructions waiting in your inbox.

Okay thank you for clearing that up! I thought it'd be silly to wait to be eligible but then also wait for open enrollment.

Just be aware you’ll still have to do it again in August. I didn’t know this when I did it in like Feb and missed out. I got lucky because I moved so I didn’t get any paperwork either so they made a very very unique exception.
