How to tell your manager you’re quitting?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Solid_Scientist_1354
I’ve been at siren for few months now but need to quit since I got an internship that will start next year. I just don’t know how to inform my manager I’m quitting whether through text, email, talk directly to her. Any suggestions?

Get a sympathy card that says “I’m sorry for your loss my last day is XXXX”

written or emailed, include the date of your last day, and your signature. do not do only verbal or text, as they can put you as not rehire-able if you don’t have a paper trail of your 2 weeks.

Write a letter of resignation, print it, then put it in an envelope, go to your store on a day off, and either hand it to your manager or tell the shift you're dropping off your letter of resignation for your manager to read.

you need to give them a written statement

It'd be cool if you gave them a written statement and a 2 week notice (and it would make a rehire easier), but you don't need to.
You 100% can just work until the day you don't want to work and never show up again. (But that's dicky and you absolutely do not need to give them a written statement)
