I’m curious, what’s the most interesting thing a partner has marked out for their bev?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by cora388
It can be anything. What prompts this question is my coworker who sometimes gets a cup of heavy cream to make butter at home
aspiringgrandpa104 points7m ago
a trenta cup of heavy cream lol my sm said it was cheaper and more convenient than buying a carton at a store
dontgiveah00t13 points7m ago
Wow this is great 😂
SwimmingBig689712 points7m ago
My sm says we can’t mark out milk unless we drink it ✨😀✨
Affectionate_Guava7128 points7m ago
Lol okay how would they know I drink venti no ice milks on my drive back home.
cory_putnam8 points7m ago

aspiringgrandpa7 points7m ago

MarieCrepes8 points7m ago
I do this at least once a week, did it today in fact.
Liberalmuffin7 points7m ago
fact
badbaristuh3 points7m ago
oatmilk, too. 2 gr “don’t make” cold milks, no ice, sub oat. I always just took the carton lol. Edit: not for butter obviously lol but still useful/free
jordan_leigh101 points7m ago
I’d mark out heavy cream. That shit is hella expensive at the store.
nicolelynnejones14 points7m ago
YO we ran out once and i had to go get like 10 cartons. i did NOT realize that would be $100 in liquid lard
Liberalmuffin43 points7m ago
trenta passion tea sub mangodragonfruit instead of water, 3 pumps vanilla, 3 raspberry, no liquid cane with a splash of heavy cream “it tastes like bubble tea 😛”
MountainGoat99925 points7m ago
I made smoothie bowls once so i marked out an entire trenta cup of coconut milk. I've also done cold brew to mix with Bailey's at home lol.

i am curious how you came about making this, and how good/sweet is it?
Ok-Invite70715 points7m ago
That's something I definitely do, once in a blue moon 😅
Not to make butter, but because I decided on a whim I wanted to make alfredo sauce with dinner, or I just remembered I forgot to buy milk/cream for my house, grocery stores are now closedz I'm off the next day, & I'm hellbent on not leaving my house on my day off, so I markout some milk/cream for my coffee at home.
urexsnetflixpassword13 points7m ago
i used to do that with trenta cups of strawberry acai juice sometimes so i could have strawberry acai lemonade at home
cora388 [OP]3 points7m ago
that is so smart how haven’t i thought of that
Agreeable-Shock730613 points7m ago
Sometimes I mark out two grande cups of oatmilk and take a box home, saves me from buying at the grocery store

So, we had a new hire a while back that concocted a drink while training on POS. Every shift it was a venti cold brew with matcha, cinnamon powder, cocoa powder, and sometimes Java chips….honestly power to him for being able to drink it.
cora388 [OP]2 points7m ago
was it.. any good?
jams10155 points7m ago
I get heavy whipping cream all the time, I love to bake and cook so it saves me sooo much money.
My other hack is to mark out a venti cold milk, no ice, sub vanilla sweet cream.
Go home, add 6 eggs, a pinch of salt, and cinnamon and dredge bread into that mixture and pan fry?
It's french toast, baby. Some of the best you have ever put in your mouth, hands down.
[deleted]1 points7m ago
I can’t not try this now 😩
jams10153 points7m ago
Do it! I make french toast casserole these days because I don't have the patience to pan-fry each slice every time anymore. You can do it if you're not feeding a crowd. I used to make it this way and it works fine!

But same diff.
Blueberry and Vanilla Sweet Cream French Toast Casserole:
Just soak a loaf of french bread, cubed, in aforementioned mixture (a vt vsc+about 8 large eggs) overnight, sprinkle blueberries throughout as you layer bread and custard in 9x13, greased casserole pan, shake cinnamon over top, cover, then put in fridge at least 8 hours.
Remove from fridge next day about an hour before you want to bake it off. Set oven to 350 and bake covered for 30 minutes, uncovered for another 15 minutes.
I make fresh blueberry syrup to pour over the vsc french toast casserole! Put a pint of blueberries in a saucepan, add a squeeze of lemon juice and a cup of sugar, water to uncover just the bottom of the saucepan, like 1/4 c water, , then stir continuously until berries pop. If needed , mix a couple TBS water with a couple TBS cornstarch and pour into saucepan and stir over a med-low flame, until thickened, like a syrup. Pour over entire french toast casserole.
rudebii4 points7m ago
damn, I never thought of that!
That's pretty smart.
ChipAimbotzPro3 points7m ago
i do a trenta cold brew with no ice and have split it during the week
sparkleblarkle3 points7m ago
At the end of my shift I like to mark out a trenta cold brew with no ice so I can mix in my own milk and syrup at home for my days off! Probably not that weird or interesting but I always feel judged when I do it lol
jesthere3 points7m ago
Add a banana. That used to be free added to any beverage. Is it still?
iStealSharpies2 points7m ago
Bananas aren’t a thing anymore in my district, not sure about others. I add blueberries to mine sometimes though!!
aee783 points7m ago
I mark out dairy for recipes most the time I need it. Another partner did it and I was like genius. I don't use enough of a carton of milk to justify buying it. I also have been making my so creamer of half and half and a ton of the flavor they like since their creamer is $6 for a damn cartoon now, use to be $2.50.
Agreeable-Shock73063 points7m ago

Tall earl grey with 20 teabags. I used to slam that earl grey at home. I even bought a case once.
