Might get written up, what should I do? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by kreepiemichaela13
I went in to work this morning, I didn't have time to call out, I told my manager I had a cold when I got there and instead of having me do COVID Coach she gave me a mask and told me to get on the floor because she was short handed. Then when she came to me an hour later to sign the check in sheet I said I didn't think I could because of my symptoms trying to explain I wouldn't pass COVID Coach, she had me sign it anyway, and rather rude with me, and said she'd send me home when more coverage came in. Half an hour later I was sent home. Now I'm worried I'll get written up, I've already had a documented coaching for calling out because of health conditions. What should I do?

If she tries to write you up, ask for a witness to be there, say something like “for clarification, you are writing me up due to failing the COVID coach which dictates if we are safe to work and is a legal document that we are to answer accurately?” . I would personally also write this on the write up and escalate to PRSC

If you were sent home why would you get written up? Your manager sent you home didn’t they?

don't go to work sick, you might have gotten your coworkers and customers sick.
