I know that we get free drinks during our shift, but I’m still confused about the food. I was told one food item/ 7 food items per week. But, does that count for pastries as well? I work openings, 7-3:30 and by like 9 I’m usually hungry so I usually get a double smoked bacon. And then I’m still hungry so I also mark out a sugar plum danish. Will I get in trouble for that because it’s a pastry?

Yes. A pastry is a food item and counts toward your markouts

No, it’s 7 per week regardless of how you split it throughout the week. You could work 1 day and mark out all 7 items that day if you wanted to.

I was told that was updated to 1 item per day, if you're off the next day you may take a second item to count for your day off. 7 total for the week.

That’s wrong. It’s seven per week, full stop. You can mark them all out on one day. I regularly do when I work one or two days a week.

Wait question. So I’m now part time bc of college so I only work on Saturday and Sundays. I didn’t work last weekend because I called off but I go in this weekend. Does Saturday end the week? So if I wanted to, I could get 7 food items. And then on Sunday, if that starts the new week, can I get 5-7 items, since I would be coming back that following Saturday?

I'd check with your SM. There seams to be different answers for different stores. My SM printed corporate response to that and it says you can have 1 daily then 1 extra before your day off. Not sure how having the next 4 days off would work.
