Title says it all, but not literally just figuratively.

No. Nothing from outside can go in the blenders it’s a health code violation.

if you were to do this i would suggest that you do it only if you have an extra blender and after you’re done, replace it. as someone else said this can expose customers to unknown allergens, and tho we’ve always said that we can’t avoid cross contamination, i would say better safe than sorry. put that bitch through hobart immediately after and i would say practically it’s fine but if u get in trouble with ur SM i didn’t say nothing 😩😩 but the technical answer is no, i believe.

No it’s a health code vio, however we had a shift that would blend his protein shake in em and he would just only do it when we were putting that one down for cleaning
Low_Committee_13122 points7m ago
We’re not, but idk I know people blend the juices or protein powder I guess aslong as you’re cleaning the blender after well and using ingredients that are gonna probably be cross contaminated being at Starbucks anyway… just use good judgment.
shitmuppet031 points7m ago
Definitely NEVER done that😉😉
I always make sure to wash the blender tho, can't risk killing someone over that shit. That said, don't try blending gummy candy. It doesn't work. And it will wear out the blender base. Hypothetically.

DO IT!!! who cares!! customer make baristas break standard all the time. bring frozen fruit for a smoothie! bring marg mix! blend it all!
testingaurora8 points7m ago
It’s a safety issue with cross contamination from allergens that customers don’t expect to be in the store so they wouldn’t ask. That’s the main problem I would venture to guess
BatWeary4 points7m ago
i’m also pretty sure that if the blender were to break due to outside food it voids the warranty

Legit. Of all the other shit y'all do, THIS is low on the totem pole. Smh. Take the container your using to the back after personal use. Starbucks can't confirm there is no cross contamination. They went away with that awhile ago. That's why you no longer see blue non dairy blenders.
