I do a question of the day! I often pick a fun riddle, but everyone has a chance to pick it! The regulars are loving it. And the stuck up people actually loosen up! It upped our customer connection 6 points last week and you don’t have to make up conversation lol.

The openers always research and brain storm in the morning! Kinda a fun task to do lol. But things like “how many months out of the year have 28 days?” And they say things like “one” bc they think of February but all of them have 28 days silly! Lmao kinda lame but they eat it up

Customer connection is a scam to push us to get drive times up. I don’t need the timer to know they’ve been there for a minute…I’ve gone through my minute of prepped small talk
Sometimes when I get bored on drive I’ll play my own game where I try to have the exact same conversation back-to-back. No one’s answer to “excited for the weekend?” is that unique, so I feel like someday I’ll get two customers who give all the same responses

Definitely had this happen before with two girls with similar nails, the same model of Tesla in different colors, and the same iced white mocha with vsscf and caramel drizzle

some people just instantly turn into npcs when they enter a business. and they will all be similar or the same. Had a guy come in, literally named John Smith on his safeway card, and wave in the most animated, video game like way, and talked as if he was on a script. But when my register forced him to go out of script he literally like stuttered his whole body trying to correct the moment. It was bizarre, fr felt like i was playing Barista Simulator for a fuckin moment 💀💀

oh holy shit that's some intense NPC behavior. There's an early middle aged couple that comes through the drive thru most days and gets tall iced nonfat caramel macchiatos with SF vanilla and while they do change up the litany of pastries that they get, they're so incredibly robotic when they're ordering and they just have the most lights on nobody's home look in their eyes, it's honestly kind of terrifying. Sometimes they really do make me question if NPCs are real and walk amongst us

one game ive been playing with only my coworkers knowing is find the license plate where i go down the alphabet, if the license plate has an a i move on to b and cant repeat license plates. another one i wanted to do with custys is naming all 50 states with 50 cars. idk just anything i can come up with
