Just wondering the best way to handle this. I was hoping to see my sm in person but we never work together. Would it be appropriate to text her and ask her to adjust the schedule based on my actual availability? I typically wouldn’t complain but Starbucks is my second job and working until 1am is just something I can’t do 🥲

I would just say something like “as per my availability it will not be possible for me to show up to X shift” and if you wanna be nice offer to help find coverage. But definitely email or text so there is a paper trail of poor scheduling on your managers part when they try to say you no-showed.

Most of my shift is fine, they’re just scheduling me later than I can work. So basically I would have to dip out an hour earlier than I’m scheduled per my availability.

They’ll honestly probably be fine. Just dont let anyone guilt trip you into staying. You aren’t paid enough to be responsible for the labor of the store or lack-of.

I have a second job too and that is extremely frustrating. It shouldn’t be your responsibility at all to help with the coverage.
