Training is like trying to drink out of a firehose. You’ll get some, but not everything so try to train to standard, and if they grasp then go over the “little random things” that you’re store uses

Train to standard and let them pick up their own non standard habits. Like teaching them tricks and what not seems beneficial but your manager will appreciate you more as a trainer if you train to standard. Especially if you’re trying to develop and move to a SSV position or beyond.

spend the first couple of minutes getting to know them! it’ll make everything less awkward and they’ll be more comfortable around you. I would also advise starting with the computer modules and paying attention (taking your own notes, etc.) so that you can put what it says into practice. good luck, you got this!
