Recently had a store meeting where our manager ran through the norms and new standards we are going to be held too coming up.
The my daily thing is one of the topics we covered. It seems as tho it's gonna be implemented store wide. Each shift we are supposed to create a daily goal before we start.
Keep in mind it isn't confidential or even kept just between our cafe, it's going to be viewed by our DM and our RM. So it isn't going to be a place for honest interaction obv. It seems very extra imo what are your thoughts.

lol “Today’s Goal: don’t shoot myself when someone asks for a Frappuccino with extra ice and then asks why it’s cold at hand off” 😂😂😂

That's wild you have had that happen. Customers are something else sometimes

I think it’s annoying but what really peeved me was that we now have to do a check out/update how our goal for the shift went. I’ve started writing the same things or putting that I want to enjoy unscripted/natural flowing conversations with our customers and living in the moment.

Honestly I find it annoying enough, for someone who works almost 4-5 days of the week coming up with new goals each day can only be done to a certain extent. There is only so many that I can put interactive customer related goals or to even satisfy their needs (craft + connect) 🥲 Maybe doing it as a weekly goal is better imo so we can have a set goal whenever we go in for our shift for the week. Kinda absurd to me that they think I really care about kissing customers ass that much 🗿

we all had to do it for a few weeks at my store and i think my goal, every day, was "give customers straws."

Solid goal lmao. Mine has been "do a dish"

Waiting for the day the thread pops up on this subR with a list of daily goals for everyone to use and contribute to

Sometimes we do a really basic goal like learn a customer’s name, have a conversation with someone in the lobby, etc. unless you need a complex goal, both of these are new everyday🤷🏼♀️. Sometimes we choose to do something more difficult when we have a strong floor.
