Does everyone have card tipping?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by dallizzlee
I keep reading articles about baristas getting an extra $100-$200 a check in card tips. We don’t have the option yet, but we did the required training for it?
How do we get it? I want extra money lol

Despite all the backlash, I’d say like 99% of customers tip on using credit card, at least in my experience. I spend a lot of time up front because I need to flex. One of my baristas were saying that they got $50 extra.

$264 extra on my paycheck today from CC tips. Amazing. That’s $3.91/hour. High volume DT only.

i got $44 dollars in CC the first paycheck. We got it on a Friday of one week and the next week was thanksgiving so it was slow for us, so that $44 dollars was based off of only 4 days i worked during a slow time for us. I can’t wait to see the next check!!!

I'm in New York and we have card tipping. Haven't seen a change in my pay yet, as I was away for Thanksgiving week (college student). Tbh it's been a rough change since my store has experienced a lot of bugs with the update. Best of luck when the bux gods bestow card tip upon you lol.

Massachusetts here and no we don’t have it
vareenoo6 points7m ago
Idk, my store randomly got it, from cash tips to the new pay raise in January (iirc), and the credit card tips… I can afford to work 16 hr/week lmao.
First weeks it was implemented I got ab ~$60 extra, our store is in a touristy & rich area tho

They're also not giving it to unionized stores
dallizzlee [OP]1 points7m ago
We’re not unionized

I got $120 my first check. To be fair, during that pay period, we only had cc tipping for 10 out of 14 days and I worked 9 out of those 10 days.

Eastern PA and we have it. We got it like a day or 2 before thanksgiving i believe
Low_Committee_13123 points7m ago
I live in Los Angeles and we haven’t seen that form of tipping yet
bevoftw3 points7m ago
Im in MN, my store gets them next week
BeardiesRule1121 points7m ago
We don’t get it until Dec 12.
Chemical_Currency_151 points7m ago
I got 190 this pay check on 58 hours. I'm not complaining at all.
Toomanyboringpeople1 points7m ago
Do you have the new card readers and are they updated? I think you can go in on functions and I think (not totally sure I’ll have to look when I go in next) there’s an update button
butterflymomo1 points7m ago
i haven't checked my pay stubs yet to see the actual numbers but i do feel i've been getting a significant amount more, this check i was expecting around 1k and actually got around 1200, last paycheck i was expecting around 800 and got 1k, very high volume dt and cafe store. if you don't have them i would bug your SM/DM and ask about a date!! they're making a HUGE difference for me personally
majik_rose1 points7m ago
We *finally* got it a couple weeks ago
Striking_Guest_93181 points7m ago
In North OC some locations in my district already have CC tipping
vics_561 points7m ago
I’m near Richmond, VA and all the stores in the area have cc tipping. I haven’t been able to log in to see my paystubs in a while 🥲
