So my sm said Christmas Day isn’t time and a half? But like it’s a holiday…and tbvh that’s the only reason I volunteered to work since my hours got cut

They consider Easter a religious holiday so don't pay time and a half. Your SM may think they do the same with Christmas but they don't.

Christmas is a federal holiday, I would imagine in part because it doesn’t always fall on the same day of the week, Easter always falls on a Sunday and therefore wouldn’t need the federal holiday classification. At least this is the way I would believe it would make sense.

thanksgiving doesn’t always fall on the same day, its always on a thursday, yet we still get time and a half, so that logic doesn’t apply to that

But it’s always a work day, Easter is always on a Sunday and federal offices are never open on a Sunday, so it does make sense.
