Most companies that run games like this don't let employees play to eliminate cheating and accusations of fraud.

when i saw this it actually made me so mad. like yeah sure we get a discount but it’s only 30% and starbucks is EXPENSIVE

That’s always what they do and it ticked me off. Now that I don’t work there I can participate, but kinda don’t want to since they wouldn’t let me as a partner.

Most companies also restrict employees from participating in promotional events such as these why are you shocked? This is the most basic example of “read the fine print” underneath big bold letters gn 💀

This is standard procedure. Employees cannot participate in contests and usually their direct family members (people in the same household) are also ineligible.
Literally every company does this.
