Opinions on being Sick (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have a few genuine questions. If you have a bunch of different symptoms of illness but no fever is it okay for us to work? And if we get worse are we allowed to use doctors notes to show we're getting worse despite no fever? Or should we still work?

Depends on the symptoms, but if anything is coming out of your body uncontrollably, stay home.

Was told I had no fever so I'd be Okay. I have the flu and on the floor I was uncontrollably crying and (sorry this is gross imo) had fluid dripping into ny mask from my nose so gross and so uncomfortable

Partner check on the iPad clearly states that you should not be working in that case. Kudos to you if you feel well enough and want to work, but as an immunocompromised partner, I’d rather you stay home and get better.

All in all, I sincerely hope you get to feeling better quickly.

I got a doctor's note just in case too! I'm going to up to my store and hand it to them and look for coverage

Yes!! This is what I did OP because I was in the same boat and I was instructed by my SM to use the iPad to determine wether I should work or not. Because I had three of the listed symptoms and it said I should not be on the floor

Yes! I asked my SM and she said so long as I didn't have a fever I was fine, but all through that shift my nose started dripping and I knew that wasn't right! And I know we had a flu outbreak before and I don't want to get anyone sick because ik no fever doesn't mean it's not contagious still
