i always hit them with the “is there anything else we can get started for you?”, admittedly a little too quick a lot of times. but i’ve had this happen before and didn’t wanna have to deal with it again lol

Starbucks wants us to coddle and handhold and baby customers thru the ordering process. They dont put any responsibility on the customer. None at all! They cry because they got exactly what they ordered and want more of something? Give it to them for free! They randomly come in and say they ordered at that store however long ago prior with no proof? Give them whatever they want! They dont tell u the size or temp (hot/iced) of their drink? How dare u get upset at that, u ask them how they want it!
It goes on and on. We have to baby and coddle customers cuz when they call the DM or corporate, we will be the ones in the wrong or at fault for the customer not knowing something and complaining just to get free things. If the customer gets mad at us for giving them a hot drink and they want it iced, if corporate was a fly on the wall...they would expect u to read the customers mind lmao. Like if any of us tries to help a customer by explaining something or asking them a question to clarify and they get offended and call corporate or the DM, we're at fault. Its stupid.
