Partner policies (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by scizard__lizard
Hello. I was recently separated from Starbucks today and was wondering if any partners/ managers had information on harassment and bullying policies. While I was on the floor a coworker and I (who were friends at the time) got into an argument via text message. We sent some pretty hurtful things back and forth and I was the one who wound up getting fired because I was the one working while it happened. I was told by my manager that the policy I signed before I started working stated that any form of bullying on the floor would lead to immediate termination. I later looked at what I signed and cant seem to find where it says that. If anyone has information it would be appreciated. Thanks <3 (FYI I’ve never been written up once in my entire Starbucks career)

if you really want you can make a claim with ethics but that’ll probably only get the other person involved separated, not your job back. You mentioned you were working when this text exchange happened. Unless you were on your ten then they could realistically just change it to be firing for being on your electronic

I remembered once I got home I was actually on my 10 and I was in my car. So technically I was never on premise. My manager also never even contacted partner resources for advice before firing me. He also never did an investigation to get both sides of the story. So it seems pretty fraudulent to me .

Call PRSC and open a claim then ! you’re supposed to get a fair process from them before a decision is made especially if you’ve never had any problems before

I was actually planning on talking to the district manager first since their closed on the weekends. But she never got back to me so it seems like that’s what I’m doing. Another thing my manager did was forcing me to sign my termination papers, not explaining what they were, and never even gave me a copy of them. I feel like this definitely adds the icing on top of the cake 😂😅
