Oh 100%. Go back 5-6 months, we had a store meeting about speaking up, and not taking shit. We were allowed to stand our ground, charge people for the extra stuff they add, ask people to go to the registers for water, ect. It was glorious. I could truly stand up for my baristas, and demand they be treated with respect. We currently are flagged as a problematic store because 2 customers have reached out to corporate about us. One tried to get a barista fired because he said she was rude to her. Mine was the first incident. The lady came in and hadn’t finished checking out with her mobile order. She had to go to the her car to get her phone and then proceeded to get upset because she didn’t understand why she had to “check out” if her drink was going to be free because of stars. By the end of it I got flipped off and called a bitch in front of a store full of customers. I was supposed to get written up for the situation, even tho multiple customers came up to me and said I handled it very well. It honestly sucks. On the flip side tho, I literally treat it like a joke now. Any hesitation to make the moment right, I risk my job. You placed an order for 10 frappes but I don’t have the order anywhere? Bet I’ll have those right out for you.

All in all, when January comes, and they complain about inventory, labor, cutting costs ect, I’ll just roll my eyes and keep doing what I’m doing. If inventory was that important to them, I wouldn’t give all these drinks away for free every day. It’s all just bull shit.

We even have to serve espresso drinks and frappes in Trenta cups if the customer wants it. That’s how bad it is lol.
