a tornado touched down near my store today and while we were sheltering the customers were Still trying to come through the drive through lmfaooo yall please. the sirens are blaring as we speak why r u risking it all for a frappuccino

not to dox myself but a tornado also touched down and tore off the roof of a store barely 5 miles away....and my manager made us keep working. WE HAVE ORDERS TO SHELTER IN PLACE can you close the fucking store for like 10 mjinutes please the lights are flickering and i dont want to die slinging somebodys caramel brulee

Lol yeah at that point you can say I legally do not have to work because I do not feel safe. Then fill out an incident report so you have a paper trail.

Hope everyone is okay! I’m sure that could’ve been pretty scary, but I also am just not in an area that gets tornadoes so I don’t know how common this is for you.

Not at Starbucks but when I worked at Coldstone way back when it was crazy popular people wouldn't leave during a tornado so we told everyone we were going to the back away from the giant window and anyone could join us. Only one dad and his kid came back. What no one knew was we kept ice cream and brownies in the back and we let the kid go to town on whatever he wanted for following the rules
