So I keep hearing shift complement is coming next quarter can someone explain what that is? Is it really that SSVs can’t work on a floor together? My store has 7 of us and they are changing our hours of operation to not need a mid shift so I’m kinda worried about my hours starting January :(

my district started doing this last quarter without warning. unfortunately all of our hours got majorly cut. i know that some stores were only supposed to be giving their shifts 15 hours a week? i don’t think that’s fair at all because a lot of people need at least 20 hours to keep benefits. it sucks:(

Yeah I feel like if it happens to us I will only be working less than 10 hours when currently I work 35+ every week. Honestly almost all of us work 30+ hours and idk how any of us will manage with significantly less

Basically they’re allowed to schedule two supervisors working on the floor together about 40% of the time this includes store managers. So if shifts are being used as barista coverage often in could impact their hours.

Not necessarily that you can’t work on the floor together, but their goal is to only have x amount of hours going to management aka ssvs and above -sm here
