Really depends. We had the problem at our store where partners left people waiting at the box so they could finish a story or wouldn’t start drinks while an order is made because guess what ! Too busy talking.

I prefer hands free mode but there’s a reason for it. Maybe get everyone to focus better and convince them to bring it back.

My store had this exact same situation happen. We honestly have just worked around it by speaking in between drive thru orders, or walking up to other partners close enough to them to get their attention and say what we need. I miss handsfree mode honestly but our drive thru is so busy I don’t even really notice the difference and we talk just as much 😭

I just don’t get why it’s a big deal, you know. I feel like people are going to talk regardless

Yeah exactly! My SM was actually against it but it was DM decision so we just are gonna roll with it tbh. Luckily our SM and DM do get us donuts and chick-fil-a and other things like that to show their appreciation, so we just listened to them. We didn’t really get any threats about written action or anything so that also made it easier for us to just go with it. I’m not saying they can buy me but I do love some good free food that isn’t cooked in a Starbucks oven. It didn’t really stop us partners talking and I feel like if anything it’s caused times where we may annoy customers by accidentally being to loud bc not everyone has a headset. I don’t want to wear headsets without party mode so i don’t anymore unless I’m on drive thru or warming. Did your store also call it party mode or just us? 😂

We called it party mode sometimes but pretty much always called it handsfree mode 😂
