Unfortunately time in position doesn't equate to being able to build/manage an effective schedule. I would argue if he's been with the company for so long and is now managing a cafe store then he wasn't able to manage a busy DT location.

that’s probably a viable explanation. he was SO great at first, during the summer months. we were without a manager for a couple of months as my old manager was moved to a DT location and the DM kinda took over while they were reaching out to other managers to come to our location.

he was on a year long sabbatical before coming to us in June. now he’s moving the schedule around a lot and the SSVs are noticeably very stressed. two SSVs are leaving in January and one is demoting to barista of her own accord at the end of this month. all of the SSVs have cited our manager’s scheduling as their reasoning for leaving/demoting
