Another customer I dealt with this week (yes it’s been long week and only Tuesday) (self.starbucksbaristas)

Customer: do you sell tea bags of earl gray
My shift (I was trying figure where to go after coming back from break so I got deal with this before being assign somewhere): no I’m sorry but I know that Amazon does sell some Starbucks products
Customer: no they don’t sell them
Another partner: I buy this brand ____ it’s by the same company and almost the same
Customer no it not. Can I buy a tea with no water and add tea bags
My shift (she thinks gonna be like 3 extra tea bags so 2 comes with and. 3 extra) sure you could do that. But be charge per. Yea bags
Customer: okay I want grande with 20 tea bags
My shift: one sec let me call my new manger (we just got new manger) see if that many ok
Me stuck with the lady
Me: So do you want 18 plus 2 bags (just trying ring up just in case)
Customer no I want 22 in total
Me: oh okay
Customer: I don’t think girl who rang me up did my gift cards right can check them
Me: sure (check all them and prints receipts)
My manger came back cause he was confused by whole situation
Manger: we can do this one time
Customer to me: okay ring up quickly. Me okay she scan something and I click the button for use gift card
Me:okay there you go
Customer no I wanted to use debit card I want make sure gift card good still and print me anothe copy (me shocked cause she didn’t say this)
Manger refund gift card get her sorta and my shift took me to be place but I know she kept complaining about thing for 30 more mins

I had someone ask for this the other day so I asked my shift, they said we’d have to ring it up as a custom tea, although I guess ringing for the tea itself would have made more sense, and then adding the extra bags, but the customer said “the other Starbucks let me buy them for the .25 cents each,” i told him, unfortunately we aren’t allowed to sell the tea bags like that and the other store shouldn’t have. He then asks me if I know which Starbucks will sell them? I was like umm…none are supposed to but you could go back to the one that’s done it before. And then I go back to figuring out how to ring it up and he sees the cost and says never mind, then asks if he might find it at a grocery store, like yeah dude, and you’ll likely get way more for the same cost or less.

We had someone like this at my old store, my manager said they could get two extra bags on the side otherwise they would have to buy another tea
