what do you do with people who order drinks smaller than the size of their personal cups? (self.starbucksbaristas)

canadian licensed green bean here. say if they order a tall iced caramel macchiato in a grande red cup that they bring in, how much milk should i pour? are there standards for this that i’m not aware of?

Use the shaker cup to measure the milk needed for an iced drink.

your store should have a reusable measuring cup it looks like the training cup its clear plastic it has all the lines you need

haven’t seen one… only clear ones are the training ones and the shakers

Oh yeahhh I forgot about those, we keep our inclusion spoons in ours lol. OP use that or shaker

Idk what the actual standard is, but I will put an empty disposable cup next to there cup as I pour to kinda measure the milk.

probably the most accurate way but doesn’t it kind of defeat the purpose of bringing ur own cup

For personal cups use the shaker, for our cups just sit the smaller size next to the larger and use the lines that way. This is the most accurate way I’ve found to do it while still using less plastic for the personal cup peeps!

I let them know. I’ll give them an option like . Would you like extra foam(hot drink) or extra whip or ice. Stuff that’s free. Foaming there milk a little longer for more foam I think is the easiest. And prevents arguments for rude custys
