Finally! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Shoddy-Trainer-8051
My store finally got credit card tipping today and everyone thinks I’m silly but I literally jumped for joy. They don’t think we’ll make much but as someone who’s worked at places with credit card tipping before, I know how nice of an addition it can be.

at my store with the credit card tips our SSVs make more than our ASM now 💀💀
clouds183 12 points 7m ago
not too difficult with asm salary being about a dollar more than ssv per hour lmao
Affectionate_Fart 9 points 7m ago
Eh. ASM rate is about $23.00 an hour. I made ~25/hr as an SSV.

I am getting consistent 200 more a paycheck now
Flowerfuls 17 points 7m ago
My tips tripled from CC tips lol
icycold- 13 points 7m ago
My tips doubled from CC tips! I was super excited when we got them too.
Aleciagann 12 points 7m ago
I’ve literally gotten like $80 more on my check in CC tips, be excited because I am too!

Y’all have gotten me so excited!! All these comments are so positive and we easily get 500 customers a day, can you imagine if everyone tipped $1.00?!!!! Sooo many customers were giving more than that and we were so busy today I’m thrilled
andersonm499 6 points 7m ago
We got our today too
Omg we get at least 800 a day if not 1000. I’m very curious to see on the next paycheck
Aleciagann 6 points 7m ago
I’ve had a lot of customers that were so excited about it too! People are definitely tipping bigger amounts than I expected.

I heard there’s a way to check the daily cc tips…. But how?
WorthProper3289 5 points 7m ago
Your ssv can do it on the pos. It’s under custom reports. I don’t remember exactly but I think it’s under the summaries tab. then multiple workstations, then select non-retail and run report
clouds183 4 points 7m ago
the sm/ssv I believe is the only one allowed to check when they are signed in on a pos

My first paycheck was a couple weeks ago and we averaged just over $4/hr in credit card tips alone. Add in the cash and mobile tips, we were getting over $6/hr in tips. Compare that to the average 0.80-1.20/hr total we got before, it’s a huge fucking difference.
Shoddy-Trainer-8051 [OP] 5 points 7m ago
Same here! Our tip average is so low, usually $1.20 ish and i don’t think ppl realize that if that goes up even by less than a dollar we’ll already be making significantly more
clouds183 4 points 7m ago
ours were about 2.50/hour last pay cycle
greenssv 1 points 7m ago
Fyi.....they take taxes out of those cc tips....some of the baristas were upset.
clouds183 3 points 7m ago
you’re also supposed to be taxed on your cash tips
Shoddy-Trainer-8051 [OP] 3 points 7m ago
Idc, it’s more money either way lol and I’ve had a job before at a place with cc tipping. I’m aware.
