Today was horrific
Revolutionary_Heat77 [OP] 13 points 7m ago
seriously and it’s literally just wednesday.. so much drama between coworkers and customers 🤡
Scared-Ad-7678 7 points 7m ago
I’m nosey can I hear the coworker drama?
Revolutionary_Heat77 [OP] 15 points 7m ago
not so much drama as just so many of my coworkers are rude af to me (i’ve only been here for 3 months and they’re al basically a clique) and my ssv is always fake towards everyone so they all shit talk her until she gets there, then ironically they’re fake back to her. then another thing is they all keep opening multiple or the same pastries like we had 3 different vanilla bean scones open in our little pastry case and i got blamed for it even though it was our asm who has done it. This has happened almost every shift i’ve worked. My newer coworker also kinda pissed me off, she talked to me as if i was a toddler because i handed someone two cake pops when they ordered one because someone else had two and i had gotten confused, she told me in the way you’d see someone who’s annoyed at a toddler say “Just go put the cake pops back . go get her a new one” because i told the lady she can just keep the extra one because i’ve already handed it to her and the lady still handed it back so i was like oh ok, but then i asked her what the other lady had and she said “are you stupid it was two chocolate “ and guess what? i went to hand the other lady her “Two chocolate cake pops” and it was ACTUALLY cookies and cream, and then today a lady was yelling at me because her pour over was taking longer than a brewed coffee (which i told her it’ll take 5-7 minutes) and then i ended up freaking spillling the coffee grains on my apron and the floor, and she laughed. bruh. then today the ssv who i mention earlier yelled at me for not taking someone’s order even though i said im sorry just one second because my asm was getting on my ass about writing something i can’t even remember down for him, she literally looked st me and like angrily said my name to get my attention but the customer was only standing there for like 8 seconds AND someone else was literally standing st their till next to me, and i had JUST gotten back from my 30 aswell. honestly it’s just a bunch of small things that add up to a bigger issue because i had a lot of toxic people at my old first job so i’m just sensitive to things like this

Report this kind of BS to partner resources and try to transfer. I promise not every store is like that. I’m so sorry

My last day was last week and I feel like I can breathe again lol
Revolutionary_Heat77 [OP] 4 points 7m ago
congratulations ! im trying to find a new job asap
embracing-the-absurd 7 points 7m ago
Do you have any less busy local coffee shops you can use your skills at?? I feel like with my store it was the fact that 30+ people would stand there angrily with their arms crossed waiting for the mobile order they placed 2 minutes prior to walking in, the manager f*cking up my schedule on a regular basis didn’t help either. So many things wrong lol. I wish you the best, I hope you don’t feel this way much longer!

i wish man but i’ve been here only 2 months and have barely seen bar time..and yeah seriously my paychecks suck for two reasons, 1. Im licensed so i get lower pay and 2. I get one week with 20 hours max then the next week is literally only 8 hours…so like, wth

8 hours?! I learned from this sub the minimum you’re allowed to be scheduled is 12. It’s worth talking too someone about it. I’ve been here about as long as you have (and am honestly considering leaving once I start up college and can find new work for same reasons you’ve complained about) and the lowest amount I’ve been scheduled for was 12.50

Today was the shift from hell for me. I’m tired of the labor cuts. 4 people on the floor for the entire day, including peak, when we usually have 6-8 people
soundfanatic 6 points 7m ago
that sounds horrific omg

my old store requires around 10 people on the floor at peak to handle the volume, but started scheduling around 5 or 6 if we were lucky. it's a big part of why i quit.

i'm so sorry things aren't better in your area.

seriously we only had 3 people total from 10am to 130 in my very busy mallbucks and one of them was our asm who left for an hour and a half to get milks and stayed in the back when he returned
darkwolf523 1 points 6m ago
I’m in the evening shifts and fucking anytime we are at peek, there’s always 3 people. 1 at bar, 1 at register and the other on warming. Soloing on bar is fun though :,)
