Are these allowed?? Hey guys! Partner here. I have recently realized my normal work shoes are getting SUPER worn out, and I’ve had these ones for a while, and I was wondering if anyone knew if these were allowed or not. (reddit.com)

They’re technically in dress code but be careful about slipping/tripping and they may cause back pain. I wouldn’t use these as a long term solution, just until you get a more suitable pair.

It’s dependent on store manager, really. My store would allow something like this, most likely. As long as it the platform isn’t too high. But if you had an accident, Starbucks probably wouldn’t pay for it and you’d just be out of work injured for a while.

What size shoe are you? I have some vegan leather docs I don’t use anymore if you’re a 7.5-8. I could ship them next week.

I love this community 🥰

Someone did it for me once. I’m just happy I get to help this time.

MoonCatlol [OP] 29 points 7m ago
Would you really? I’d love that.
tourniquette2 34 points 7m ago
Yeah! Definitely. Message me your address and I’ll ship them out when I get back from my trip Monday.

Okay!
feistybugs 27 points 7m ago
this is the most incredible thing i’ve ever seen!!
rudebii 40 points 7m ago
I don’t know if they’re dress code, but you won’t like working in these.
MoonCatlol [OP] 13 points 7m ago
I mean, I wear them on a day to day basis, so if they were allowed, I’d totally wear them. Lol
mjooyeon 21 points 7m ago
As others have said, policy requires flat heels. But as more others have said, it really depends on your SM and DM and if they say anything about it.
R1P2MYOUTH 17 points 7m ago
i dont have an answer just bc im *not* 100% sure but these shoes are so cute!!
MoonCatlol [OP] 4 points 7m ago
Ikr!! 🤣
Prudent-Pea6222 6 points 7m ago
don't quote me on it but I'd say it's just up to what your store allows for dress code. my store would allow these for sure
Affectionate_Fart 6 points 7m ago
They’re not, due to the heel.
All shoes must be flat heeled.
sweetxfracture 5 points 7m ago
I thought you could have an inch? Especially with boots
jelizt 5 points 7m ago
I believe that’s true but these are a little more then an inch imo. I think if OP is comfortable in them and won’t get dress coded then they should just go for it
Affectionate_Fart 1 points 7m ago
I would say no because god forbid they get injured from slipping on the floor or rolling an ankle.
Affectionate_Fart 1 points 7m ago
Dress code page says “flat heels”. As an SSV I would probably say something because I wouldn’t want you to trip and bash your head into a fridge or counter.
BigDillLadyPickle 5 points 7m ago
I wear big chunky boots all the time. As long as they are solid dress code colors you are good
tumblrsalsa 5 points 7m ago
I have no idea but they’re so cute where did u get them
MoonCatlol [OP] 6 points 7m ago
I actually got them off ROMWE. They have really nice shoes. And clothes. But more shoes 🤣
MoonCatlol [OP] 5 points 7m ago
Thank you guys for all of the feedback!!
throwaway1209340987 3 points 7m ago
No, the dress code requires flat heels ($1).
mossygreentree13 2 points 7m ago
i used to wear my docs all the time, you’re good to go!
majik_rose 2 points 7m ago
I wear Tims to work sometimes that have a similar heel, since it’s a boot the heel height is pretty normal and I doubt anyone would care (or notice tbh). Just be careful, standing for long periods in shoes that don’t have flat soles is ouchie
saddestgirl1995 1 points 6m ago
I'd worry about slipping or tripping but they're cute. I tell my partners that were not paid to look cute so it's ok to sacrifice some things like footwear for the sake of not slipping and eating shit on the floor
biscuittoaster 1 points 6m ago
If they are not non slip, and you fall, you wouldn't be able to be compensated for being hurt at work. If the fall is bad enough of course. It's always a better idea to wear memory foam and/or non slips
bluetreelove 1 points 6m ago
This isn’t true I’ve slipped at work twice with injuries putting me out for a few weeks and was compensated both times, I wasn’t wearing non slips either time and they didn’t ask at all about it.
smoolbeean 1 points 6m ago
very cute and in dress code just be careful about slipping!! i wear platform docs to work and they cute but i be sliding sometimes
bazzyzazzy 1 points 7m ago
Yeah, those are in dress code, but if you slip you won’t get any workers comp because those aren’t non slips. I wear platform converse every day and I haven’t had a problem. Just be careful!
bluetreelove 1 points 6m ago
Ive slipped twice at work and was compensated both times and I wasn’t wearing non slips.
Deadrax502 1 points 7m ago
They’re allowed just be very careful
Belgrifex 1 points 7m ago
Yes. My supervisor has worn a nearly identical pair the entire year our store has been open. I would say it's a possible slip hazzard, but my "slip resistant" sketchers work boots are the slipperiest pair of shoes I've worn in my life. So you do you!
kmoonster 1 points 7m ago
Are they non-slip? If not, I would \*not\* recommend
lumen6440 1 points 7m ago
such nice shoes 😭 wouldnt want to get them dirty
Independent-Arm-642 1 points 7m ago
I wish but I don’t think they are considered flat heels
grlcbr8th 1 points 7m ago
Someone I work with consistently wears jadons, I don’t see why these would be a problem
