yes, at my tarbux the register also works this way, the stars only cover the base drink and no modifications.

however..... since people always give a hard time about it and since i know stars cover all the modifications at a regular sbux, i just don't put the modifications in the register and then i write them on the cups and make them with the mods anyway. it's really not worth getting yelled at every single day over.

Target Starbucks (and other kiosk locations) are licensed stores, so the star system works differently. If you want a completely free drink for 150 stars, you need to go to a corporate store

My old kiosk manager had told me to coupon the add ons so it still went into the system for inventory, my current one just told me to only ring up the base drink, but our district manager would say they have to pay add ons. It really depends on how much they care/have upper management breathing down their necks.
