make damn sure its written/emailed/has a paper trail and not just a verbal one, otherwise they can say you never put in your two weeks and mark you as non-rehirable

I emailed. "Hello! Please let this email serve as my 2 week notice. My last day will be September 9th, 2022. I really appreciate the opportunity and have enjoyed being a part of the starbucks team." To be fair i couldve added reasoning and been more thoughtful but i was over it haha

I typed up a short note with my last date (seriously, shirt and simple “my last date/shift will be X”) and put it inside a card that said “I’m sorry for your loss”. But my SM was a real one so she found it as funny as I did.

I’m writing mine and handing it to my manager and seeing if I can send it to HR. My last day is 1/1.

I hand wrote a note stating when my last day was and taped it above the back desk, then verbally told my SM I had left a letter for him in the back. I was in good standings at the store, and had no issues with my SM. I think it really just depends on the type of SM you have. If they have exhibited sketchy behavior in the past, send it in an email and cc the DM.

I was on good terms with my SM so I just sat down next to her on my way home after a shift and basically just "btw, next friday will be my last day". I was gonna do 2 weeks but decided a week between jobs was more desirable than an additional week of crummy Sbux pay haha

It’s always best to put it in writing, you want proof that you put in your notice. And state when your last day will be.

Just write a note stating when your last day is. Those 3 page resignations some people write are too much.
