I have personally sold two … and seen them both returned within a week 🙃

My store got 4, and sold out because we're by a hospital and there are doctors who come in legitimately every day for their drip coffee, so they're just prepaying for January's caffeine.

And they’re only good for a month, right? 🙄

It sucks because I think the cup is a beautiful color. Just no way I’m paying that much for it.

We sold out at my store lol idk if the people got it for themselves or as gifts but yea we sold out of em like 2 or 3 week ago. I personally havent rung anyone up for it. I think my manager is the one that did and our DM got us a catering hoagie tray. Lol why do baristas always get food out of these type of situations while the higher ups all get bonuses of some sort probably....like with customer connection scores we get a pizza if we get high numbers. Or I've heard others say they get pizza or some other food when their Drive times stay at a good number for a period of time

previous years cups were actually pretty...or at least had a design on it. this...looks so plain and simple and no where near worth the price.

These cups should have a built in barcode or qr code so they can be used for free coffee every January instead of just 1.
If we actually cared about being "eco-friendly", we wouldn't expect people to buy a new cup every year for one measley month of free coffee

I've only seen one sold. I get it. Basically the deal is buy 31 coffees and get a free cup. You have to come in every day and wait to get your coffee. Not a great deal for the average person.

Yes ours sell out when they come in. We have lot of customers who drink coffee 7 days a week. They see it as a cost savings. They would be spending the 70 anyway so essentially the cup is free and they saved a min of $30.

Sone guy came in, bought one minutes after it was placed on the shelf and returned it a few days later. That same day, or maybe the next, a woman came in and bought them all. We had 4 or 5 I think.

I really wanted to get one for my mom since she drinks black drip coffee all day every day, and when I got her the refill cup three-ish years ago she’d get multiple fills a day and they didn’t care lol.
BUT we don’t get a discount, which is insane considering the last time they sold these they were like $45, and the cup is just terrible quality. Like it dents, scratches, shows oils from hands, etc. It’s just awful. You’d think a $70 cup, even with free refills, would be better quality, but no.

It sounds dumb but if you do the math it's basically the cost of all the coffees for 30 days. Essentially, the cup is free.

I remember one of the first years starbucks really pushed the multiple new design tumblers for christmas, they also came out with some Swarovski crystal tumblers that were like $150. Man I think every single one of them ended up being clearanced out at the end of the season. They were ugly and like who really wants crystals on their cups?

I sold one to a customer who always gets a hot tea. She gets 2 a day so I told you to get one free and then just do a refill since she stays in the store. It’s good for a free hot coffee/iced coffee or hot tea/iced tea. If I had a Starbucks close to me I would buy it since I get iced tea almost everyday from Dunkin’ I would just go to Starbucks

When people comment when they sell or dont sell I wish Id know what state or county they are from. I'm only around in the afternoons so I don't really see anyone even ask about them. I work just outside the loop in Chicago.

I bought one! My store (licensed- Target) had a spend $25 get $5 off deal, plus I redeemed my 400 stars, plus my target employee discount of 10% off and another 5% off with my red card. Ended up costing me just $30 for a good Christmas present

I calculated it out. If you got a grande coffee every day for January, it comes to $103. If you buy the cup it’s $90 with tax (In Canada). You’re essentially getting 5 coffees free.
