short rant about labor cuts (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by R1P2MYOUTH
im in the process of transferring rn and having a hard time, but even once i find a store to transfer to, im scared i wont get enough hours. this corporation doesn't care about us no matter how much they claim to. i see no point in working at starbucks if im not getting enough hours for benefits or to live

I don't even understand why they're cutting labor. We have been so busy, we are literally near failing inspections because we have been so busy and struggling with the staff that we do have. Why cut labor if business is good?

right!!! they're trying to balance out the $15 an hour i guess😵‍💫 it just causes more stress for partners too even though sbux *supposedly* cares about their partners wellbeing

I'm in the exact same boat. Been trying to get ready to move and transfer but it's just absolutely not economically feasible. Wish ya luck, you'll need it

It’s a store-wide thing. And then they may ask for even less labor in January. Less than now?

I don’t envy SMs.
