quitting (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Ok-Communication2651
soo basically i’ve been with the company for like a year and 3 months total and i’m no longer getting the hours i need. no one in my store is. so i’ve made the decision to leave.
im not one who usually puts in a 2 weeks, (i understand it’s a respect thing, but i find it rather pointless).

so im not really sure how to quit? is there any way to be respectful besides putting in 2 weeks?
320***** finally leaving the siren😌

Give your two weeks, work your two weeks.

We had a partner give his two-week notice and then proceed to call in sick each day he was scheduled.

It’s disrespectful. Not showing up for your last two weeks puts the entire team down, and in no way makes anyone think “oh, we should’ve gotten so and so to not quit”. It only makes everyone think “so and so is an ass”.

Oh, this guy was a major jerk. We all expected him to do this. SM also expected it and was ready with someone to come in. She ain’t stupid.

She wasn’t too amused but neither was she upset because that’s the type of guy he was. His friends here laughed up a storm but the rest of us just rolled our eyes. Plus, I had no reason to complain: more hours for me! 😁
