How to handle rude customer tips? (self.starbucksbaristas)

So long story short this old fart was being rude after I refused a $50 for a $5 order. And started telling me “Are you not paying attention and not doing your job?” And more comments like that.
I basically told her “Im not even going to answer that. Answer the question on the card reader and have a nice day”
Did I do ok with how I handled it and

i think you did okay! definitely stand your ground, i hate that we have to try to be nice even when they’re rude. I simply just reply “okay” or don’t say anything and just tell them to have a nice one

That what I usually do. They’re trying to get a reaction out of you, don’t give them one.
