We don’t have too much drama among our partners but I love hearing everyone’s tea over the headsets LOL it’s like a podcast

i feel so thankful to have a drama free store 🙏🏻 it’s stupid and cliche but we are close like a family at our store 🤞🏻

We suddenly got a lot of new hires and old partners left so its taking a terrible turn

Often I would feel like I needed to turn to look at a camera and give a face, like on The Office

Today, while absolutely slammed on a Saturday morning and two partners down, my SSV asked an SSV that’s training to wipe the counters down and without missing a beat she said SO SNARKY “you want me to clean up after you?” I felt like I was on a Bravo reality tv show for real

Tell me about it. Got quite a few cliquey colleagues who constantly go into the back and laugh amongst each other/talk about other people. The hypocrisy is when I for example go in the back to stack the dishwasher etc they tell me to come out the front, yet that doesn't stop them from huddling together to b!tch about people. They also go out together and talk about it right when I'm in earshot knowing full well it will set me off.
Oh, and they accused me of being racist the other day. I didn't even bother responding because that's what they wanted me to do so I would get into trouble. The reason? Because I asked one of them if he was cooking curry the previous night. How in God's name is that racist?
The manager doesn't really do anything about it; while she's not one of their little clique necessarily she will join in with the b!tching. There's one person (not me) in particular that they love to b!tch about and even when they don't mention her name I just know they're talking about her. And because I've become good friends with that person it hurts hearing their comments.
She's considered leaving, and honestly I don't blame her. Since October we've had a couple of people leave who I also got on with, and guess what, one of them felt that way too.

My store is outside of a summer resort town, there isn’t much to do in the off season…the natives are restless. There’s so much drama atm I can’t wait for the tourists to come back so they don’t have as much time to talk about all of their issues over headset. Some of the shit I hear is downright disturbing.
