Loop earplugs at work? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by oringrey
Anyone use loop earplugs while working?
And if so, which ones?
I recently found out I have adhd and I'm wondering if some level of noise cancelation will help keep me from getting overstimulated and exhausted.

I don’t use Loop I find they’re too big and noticeable, but I use Calmer Flare, I had used them a while back and found them to be helpful, but lost one. They recently made their smaller size in a translucent color so I just got them and wore mine yesterday to work. I don’t notice a HUGE difference when I wear them, but I notice it when I wear them for awhile and then don’t that it definitely does help. It took awhile to get them because they ship from out of the country (i’m in the US), but I’ve found them to be worth it.

I use/d loop but they made me stop because my Dr is so slow on getting accommodations for me. They work very well but take a bit of adjustment. You'll be able to hear yourself talk, along with any jaw clenching, chewing, drinking, you do.

I wear Vibe earplugs. I mainly got them since I’m in a college marching band and it helps protect my ears, but they’re also very useful at work. As someone with adhd too, they definitely keep me from being overstimulated when I’m on bar and help reduce noise when I wear one in my ear that has the headset on it for drive thru. They’re also only $20-25 on amazon and are not very noticeable
