Might be time to hang up the apron (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m a shift supervisor at a Sbux in NC. I love my job; I love my regulars and 90% of the time I love my co workers. My manager is pretty supportive it’s overall usually a good time. That ten percent of the time though. That ten percent is literal hell and even that is a generously kind description for what we get subjected to. I’m not complaining about the job that I signed up to do; but I am complaining about not being given all the tools to do them. We were down a person, only drive through and sbux in the area; right off an interstate. It was brutal. Everyone was moving top speed and we still didn’t make a dent in mobiles, and our DT times were in the garbage. My SM came in (she’s off every Saturday) annoyed asl that she had to come in; took the shift over and left without saying anything to me. I got into it with one of my baristas; I’ve been working since I was 16 and it was one of the worst shifts I’ve ever worked in life (mind you I worked this thanksgiving and we were down three). I’m seriously thinking about putting my two weeks in.

MY first question is what SM would think that choosing Saturday for a day off would be logical due to it being the highest flow of revenue for most locations.
