What is this 2 hr shift I’m scheduled for? (i.redd.it)
submitted by Choociecoomaroo
I have never been scheduled like this before and it says “noncoverage”, what does that mean? What is this? (I have open availability)

either clean play or a store meeting
Choociecoomaroo [OP] 12 points 6m ago
Isn’t clean play meant to be after we close. We close at 7:30.

Our clean play starts a little while before we close and ends a while after
Choociecoomaroo [OP] 10 points 6m ago
Clean play right along side the closers and leaving at the same time sounds unrealistic but also like something my sm would pull, I just transferred to this location so idk how they do things.

It might be unusual to you but literally every store I’ve worked at has it set up like this
miakodank 1 points 6m ago
My store does clean play 12-8 or sometimes half shifts but it’s during store hours. 2 hours doesn’t seem the right length for a clean play shift though. So I’d guess either a meeting or training. Or there was a unique staffing issue and they just needed that coverage but the labor allotted for that day wasn’t enough to schedule more hours…

It’s not always after close, we did ours after close but we didn’t have enough people who could work it that also had a car or reliable transportation to get home. at the time we were closing at 10PM and public transportation wasn’t running frequently after midnight so we moved it to the mornings at 4AM on a day we opened later (more openers had cars/public transportation was running more frequently/ppl had a way to actually come to work that early)

I assume it’s a store meeting. Otherwise you have modules due, or as someone suggested cleanplay, but I’d assume they could schedule for that before/after an actual shift unless your SM is being a dick.

She is a dick
Jmon3y87 10 points 6m ago
Schedules usually posted for 3 weeks. Was this just added in? Did you speak to your SM?
Professional-Lie6004 6 points 6m ago
Most likely clean play, some times for safety reasons during the holiday season store will do clean play at the same time as close to ensure partner safety when leaving the store.
Choociecoomaroo [OP] 2 points 6m ago
I see,thank you.
WAtransplant2021 4 points 6m ago
Clean Play. You will spend two hours deep cleaning after close.
Choociecoomaroo [OP] 2 points 6m ago
We close at 7:30?
-_-slimshady 1 points 6m ago
clean plays can happen during or after store hours. it looks like it’s set up so you and the closers are out the same time.
Both-Selection-5302 3 points 6m ago
Probably clean play😳
mcdermottbobby 2 points 6m ago
Maybe ask your manager?
c-3le 2 points 6m ago

rwwhys 2 points 6m ago
Clean play
PastelPinkStrawberry 2 points 6m ago
It could be putting away an order? My store sometimes schedules non-coverage in the evenings instead of at open for large orders
kale_chipss 2 points 6m ago
i had something like that too and it was a holiday party
PartyAnything3408 1 points 6m ago
maybe clean play it a meetint
miakodank 1 points 6m ago
Whatever it is I’m curious to know what it is.
Choociecoomaroo [OP] 1 points 6m ago
It was clean play and I was there for maybe an hour before being sent home. *my store is 30 minutes from my house and my manager knows that*
yunggreat 1 points 6m ago
Might be my store only but my manager has all of us scheduled for 2-3hr non coverage shifts this week and next to complete winter training and anything overdue.
majik_rose 1 points 6m ago
Depends on your store, looks like a meeting to me but idk
caulicarter 1 points 6m ago
As someone who used to do the truck order looks like that to me. A small truck usually I get a 4-5 hour shift for the big truck orders
Specialist_Salt_507 1 points 6m ago
Could be clean play
